Total funds received as of 12 May 2008 is 25.3 million Kyats (approx. S$ 30,500); 75% from UK donors, 21% from Singapore donors, and 4% from local donors. We have already spent almost 14 million Kyats (approx. S$ 17,000) in past three days.

As of 12 May 2008, UK donors have distributed 74.90%, Singapore 21.30% and local donors 3.8%. Nothing in the pipeline (i.e we don’t have committed donations for future activities)

On 11 May 2008, three teams went to camps between Kaw Hmu and Kon Chan Kone and Hlaing Thayar and South Dagon. Kaw Hmu team distributed rice, soaps, etc, while Hlaing Thayar team distributed 30 bags of lime powder for latrines in three camps to prevent outbreaks of cholera, diarrhoea and dysentery.

South Dagon team visited Buddhist monasteries and camps to provide antiseptic liquid and lime powder for latrines. Cases of diarrhoea outbreaks have been reported in this area, according to other organizations field assessment. Local medical officers and camp’s Red Cross members requested Natural Lime Powder (calcium hydroxide) ("ထုံး") and antiseptic liquid to limit the spread of outbreaks of cholera, diarrhoea and dysentery to minimum, and to possibly prevent it.
